What Information Do We Gather?
FundSource gathers two types of information about users
1) Personal data, provided through voluntary registration.
2) Aggregated data, which tracks traffic to our sites.
Personal data will be requested when you join FundSource and when you request to receive feature story headlines via email. Members, or visitors receiving the regular email highlights, consent to FundSource sending email to them at the email address they have specified. Members and visitors will have the opportunity to "unsubscribe" to such email postings.
When you request an investment statement for any managed fund monitored by FundSource Research Limited ("FundSource"), we will ask you to complete a FundSource profile. The information will also help us to personalize and continually improve your investment experience with FundSource.
It is the responsibility of the user to protect their FundSource membership password which is emailed directly to them, once they have joined.
Every precaution is taken to ensure that the personal information we hold on you is stored in a secure place.
Aggregated tracking information helps us to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We collect information on the times and ways you use our Website. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We may disclose such aggregated information that does not contain any personally identifiable details to third parties such as our advertisers and investment partners.
The nature of the internet means that visitors and members email addresses will be stored in a number of places. Besides being stored at FundSource, they may be stored at your ISP, FundSource ISP and at a server that you use to access the internet.
While FundSource will store and use your email address and profile details for the sole purpose set out in FundSource, it is not responsible for the handling of this information by other parties in the internet infrastructure.

How Do We Use the Information?
FundSource uses any personal information that's voluntarily given by you in order to enhance your experience, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the site or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.
We will also use that information to develop the site. For example, if we see that traffic to 'Learn with FundSource' is very high, we will look for opportunities to expand this section of the site. The FundSource site will be driven by what users tell us they want to see.
Your FundSource profile will be used in the future to customise the FundSource website to you and your interests. You can make changes to this profile at any time.
FundSource will not disclose any information that personally identifies you to any third party other than FundSource Research Limited or any related company.

Membership Services
To use all of the services on FundSource (such as selected feature articles, Fund Top Performers and the FundSource Select List and in the future investing in the funds) you will be requested to register. During registration you'll be asked to provide your email address and a nickname. We share this data with our service provider(s) when it is necessary in order to provide the service that we offer.

Electronic Headlines of Feature Stories
You will only receive via email feature story headlines if you have registered for them. We do not share this mailing list with any third parties, including advertisers or partners, unless you voluntarily authorise us to do so when you register.

What About Cookies?
Aside from personalized information, we also use a cookie file, which contains information that can identify the computer you are working from in order to track traffic patterns on our site. This is anonymous because it only gives: IP address, PC platform (Windows, NT or Mac), Browser (Netscape or other), domain (coming from New Zealand or outside, etc).
This "cookie" is a small data file that Web sites commonly write to your hard drive when you visit them. The data is encrypted for your added security.
Again, cookies don't identify you personally, but rather identify your computer when you visit our site. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.
Your browser can be set to warn you before accepting cookies -- in this case, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You can choose to refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the FundSource sites, but you may need them for customisable areas of the site that we may develop in the future. We will allow users to clear cookies. However, in doing so, your PC may not be recognised for specific purposes.
It is important to note that the FundSource site may contain some links to other sites and that those sites may not follow the same privacy policies as us. These sites may send their own cookies to you, and as a result, may collect data and ask for personal information that we would not.
